“Our managers” responds the CEO "are complaining they’re often short-handed, and spending too much time recruiting and getting new people up to speed.” 

 

And our employee satisfaction numbers are getting worse. We need our people to love working here and with each other,” offers the CFO.

 

“Maybe we should provide our people more training and coaching,” suggests the CEO. 

 

“What if we invest in training and coaching, but they leave?” asks the CFO.
