“Do less? What are you thinking? It’s never been this crazy and working virtually has made it even harder!” Maybe you relate to the image in this post of the cavemen too busy to consider the revolutionary idea… round wheels. That might be because if you’re like most managers you’re busy obsessing on doing things right (more likely preventing things going wrong), being in control, and fixing other people’s problems. There’s a movement afoot and a way out, and it’s not about learning how to pull the cart with the square wheels more effectively.
I’ve been running workshops and more recently webinars on “From manager to leader by changing the rules: do less, accomplish more, make a difference” to audiences of managers ranging from new to veteran, 1st timer to CEO, across a host of functions, industries and countries. All of them curious, some sceptical, many intrigued.
