Heck I’ll take any kind of leadership. In a world where management runs rampant trying to control everything and everyone including the outcome (good luck with that BTW), leadership takes a back seat (or maybe it’s sitting on the curb). Our obsession with managing (aka doing things right) produces lots of micro-managing (everyone loves when that happens to them) and we explain and justify it by declaring “we’re on top of things”.
There’s a price to pay for getting it right. And that’s ideas that won’t even make the agenda because we’re too risk averse to chance “getting it nearly right”.
I was recently invited as a guest on a podcast appropriately titled “Inspired Leadership” where I shared anecdotes and examples of leaders and leadership that I believe you’ll appreciate. The podcast is hosted by Susan Power and Tyler Bayley and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter and sharing during the show, and I believe you will to. I invite you to have a listen.
I promise you won’t go away unaffected. And if you want to chat about leadership, inspired or otherwise, drop me a line. All the best,
George
